Fundraiser to benefit Chinese orphans at Yiyang Social Welfare Institute
By Nireesh @ 12:32 PM :: 361 Views :: 0 Comments ::

A lion shaped-city of 4.5 million, Yiyang is best known for it's bamboo industry, which can be traced back 600 years to the reign of Emperor Shundi of the Yuan Dynasty. The signature bamboo mats produced in Yiyang can now be found in households all over the world.

There are two orphanages in the city, the Yiyang Children's Welfare Institute (CWI) and the Yiyang Social Welfare Institute (SWI). Several children adopted from these two orphanages now call Charlotte home and come together often for playdates and family gatherings.

Donations for the fundraiser are tax deductible and will be collected and dispersed directly to the Yiyang SWI by Chinese Children's Charities (CCC) in Englewood Colorado. CCC is the charitable division of Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI).

Donations may be completed online at www.chinesechildren.org/Charity/DonationForm.aspx. Please indicate Yiyang SWI Clothing Drive in the "Specific Project" line when making your donation.

To send donations through US mail, please make checks payable to Chinese Children's Charities - indicate Yiyang SWI Clothing Drive
