99 days to take off. Things are progressing well enough. Starting to get a little nervous about the price tag on all this. Looks like it's going to be tough. Came to the realization that though the Indian government won't let me accept any help for the orphanage there's no reason I can't get some help for the website. So I decided I'd add a paypal link so people can help support the website. Then I realized that there is not really enough here to convince anyone to help me pick up the tab on it so.
While bouncing around on the web researching the situation in India and the problems we'll be facing, I came across the Unicef website. On the site it had a note that if you wanted to mirror content, use their news feeds etc. You simply had to ask. Ok so I did. Within 24 hours I got an email telling me what information to provide etc. and giving me permission. Ok I'm stunned. In the same day I sent out several similar requests to several other webmasters and got nothing in reply. But Unicef gets back to me in 24 hours. Aren't they a charter of the UN. Isn't anything with the UN supposed to take several years and thousands of troops with blue helmets that hang around get shot at and then leave with their tail between their legs. Ok maybe it's not exactly that bad but still. Anyway. I just wanted to take a sec. and extend my gratitude to two people David Beroff for kicking me into gear with an email that said I needed to get this site up and Drew Poling for getting back to me so quickly from Unicef that I didn't have any more excuses.
