Ways anyone can help

  • Adopt- This isn't for everyone but is it for you? The best way to help the orphans of the world is to bring one into your life and home.
  • Tell others- keep up with the orphan news from this site and others and talk about it with your friends and family. Remind them that there are children that need help.
  • Write to your government officials. Many countries like India have combersome laws that prevent overseas or even in country adoption. Many contries have policies preventing contact between two countries these restrictions must be removed in order for others to get in and help.
  • Ask your politicians at election time about the declining international adoption rates and how they plan to encourage more citizens to help.
  • Write to orphanages and care providers ask about the conditions at the orphanage, over crowding, food supplies. Let us know what they say so we can post it to the site.
  • There is a lot of corruption and misstreatment a lot of Non profits setup For Profit. If you have an orphanage you've visited write up a review and send it to us. If your planning on traveling overseas make it a point to find an orphanage in the area and drop in for a visit.
  • Feed and talk with the kids in your own area. You can't always tell a homeless child from a regular child get to know the children around you help them if you can.
  • Check for a local foster care provider in your area that might appreciate some help. Even in the most developed countries in the world there are homeless and forgotten children living in the shadows reaching out to them may be as easy as looking for them.

Since a young child it has been my desire and aim to help people around the world, I stumbled accross your website and love your vision. I would love the opportunitie to work within a charity environment and learn the ropes. I converted to islam at the age of 18 and islam takes the role of looking after orphans very seriously. There is many great texts talking about this and our beloved prophet Muhammad him self was orphaned at the age of 6. I ideally would love to work in the middle east and see there is a lack of orphanages in this area. If you have any advice or help please do contact me. Thankyou very much.

Dar-ul-Sukun Quetta started off operation with eleven (12) of the sixteen (16) registered children in February 2008 on full time (day/night) basis. Of the current twelve inmates so far two (2) from Chaman (a bordering town with Afghanistan) were registered. Before their full time accomodation in the center, children visited the place with their guardians and spent fun time together during the day. The group of 12 has only three children who were already in schools. Other 8 have never been to school or ped out after the demise of their parent(s). It has been planned that all the children be enrolled in one school. This decision is based on the coveniencies of cost, time and logistics required to send the children to schools. Three volunteer (teachers) are visiting the center on different hours of the day to help children in their homework. I am looking your help to serve these children in a batter way.
