Ways anyone can help

  • Adopt- This isn't for everyone but is it for you? The best way to help the orphans of the world is to bring one into your life and home.
  • Tell others- keep up with the orphan news from this site and others and talk about it with your friends and family. Remind them that there are children that need help.
  • Write to your government officials. Many countries like India have combersome laws that prevent overseas or even in country adoption. Many contries have policies preventing contact between two countries these restrictions must be removed in order for others to get in and help.
  • Ask your politicians at election time about the declining international adoption rates and how they plan to encourage more citizens to help.
  • Write to orphanages and care providers ask about the conditions at the orphanage, over crowding, food supplies. Let us know what they say so we can post it to the site.
  • There is a lot of corruption and misstreatment a lot of Non profits setup For Profit. If you have an orphanage you've visited write up a review and send it to us. If your planning on traveling overseas make it a point to find an orphanage in the area and drop in for a visit.
  • Feed and talk with the kids in your own area. You can't always tell a homeless child from a regular child get to know the children around you help them if you can.
  • Check for a local foster care provider in your area that might appreciate some help. Even in the most developed countries in the world there are homeless and forgotten children living in the shadows reaching out to them may be as easy as looking for them.

Hello I am a shadow of an Orphan in Nigeria, Thank you for taking a few minutes to read my mail. You can hear my tiny voice but what does my voice tell you about me. First, it shows you that I exist. their shadow also shows you that they are just some of the 9 million other orphans in Nigeria. There are many things about us that my voice does not tell you. It does not tell you our age or gender. Open the eyes of your heart and here is what you might see. You might see me living under a bridge, in a gutter, on the side of the road, or any place I can find shelter and safety from those who might abuse me.If you could see us through the eyes of your heart here is what you might see. You might see us as one of the more than 20 babies abandoned at birth, left in a garbage pile, on the steps of a church, in a gutter, or a door at a clinic. If there is no one to take me where do I go? Is there anybody that will love us and take us in,we are children and is there anyone to help us anywhere,

Hi I am going to skeldon guyana in July and would like to visit and donate monies to an orphanage. please could you tell me of an orphanage in the area that you are affiliated with and also let me know what is best for me to do to help these underprivelaged children. My father recently received an OBE in the UK for his work toward the community and when I saw his article of why he committed his life to others it was through an article on two somalian boys who had lost their parents....it touched my heart and I too would like to help others and make a difference Submitted By: sharan singh

I need your trust and assistance to help donate this fund to charity or orphanage home. My decision was made necessary because of my health condition. When my husband was alive he deposited the sum of money worth eight million U.S. dollars in a bank located in continent of Asia, which I inherited after his death, please contact me for more details on this project. Greetings Usman Adiba Submitted By: Usman Adiba
